On June 2nd 2016, IRDG (Industry Research and Development Group) held a Design Thinking Conference in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin. They also held a workshop in June 1st. This conference included talks from Design Thinking thought leaders and experienced practitioners from the fields of business, academia, research, design, film and art. The why, what and how of design thinking and the benefits to your business organisation were discussed.
**This may be a conference to look into attending in 2017 if it goes ahead as it could prove very useful for the process of going out meeting teachers, students and industry experts for the needs analysis and design thinking provides a process for which to build the project around. It would be interesting to see what other businesses and organisations are doing and to talk to them about their design thinking process.**
